Queensmead is part of the Chanctonbury Healthcare Group of homes. It is very well known in Polegate, and has an outstanding reputation for high quality premises, caring and service. There are two well-furnished lounges, a bright and airy dining room and a lovely open aspect conservatory leading on to patio gardens. Our residents love to sit outside or in the conservatory and we hold lots of events in the gardens during the summer.

At Queensmead we have a group of dedicated activities staff who work with the residents to ensure that they lead full an interesting lives. We are able to take the residents on regular trips – for example to the cinema, the theatre or to the seafront for fish and chips and an ice cream!
Here at the Queensmead, we believe that this is the residents’ own home, so visitors are welcome at any time and will always be provided with tea and biscuits. Visitors are also welcome to stay for meals at a small charge.
Our staff are highly competent and also understand the value of a lovely smile, a tender touch and a few words of encouragement. We really ‘Care About Caring’, which is our company motto.

What People Tell Us
“I have never visited such a caring home as this one. The staff are very efficient, friendly to residents and visitors. The place is spotlessly clean without being too clinical. My aunt was made to feel very welcome (it was her 2nd day) and she loves the attention and the company. I observed that all the residents were part of a happy, contented family. Thank you so much!” – Vivien H
“Overall the home cannot be faulted. As one enters the home you are greeted by the receptionist and made welcome. The management and staff are very helpful and cheerful, they make it a homely atmosphere.” – T. R. S.
