Hummus is a delicious creamy, thick spread made primarily from mashed chickpeas and a few other healthy ingredients.  It is an ‘ancient’ food that has long been enjoyed in the Middle East and North African countries.  Over the last decade hummus has become popular worldwide and has many health benefits.

Quick and Easy Hummus Receipe


1 400g-can of chickpeas
1 garlic clove
Juice of 1 lemon
2 tsp. Tahini
4 tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
½ tsp. Sweet paprika
½ tsp. Maldon sea salt


Place the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, and sea salt into a food processor and pour in the lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil. Blend until smooth and creamy and place in a dish.  Sprinkle with the sweet paprika and serve with freshly sliced vegetable crudities #eat a rainbow or toasted pitta bread.
