Our purpose-built home reflects the local Sussex style and is welcoming to residents and their families.
Committed to delivering personalised care and quality of life, our home offers plenty of smiles and laughter to while the days away, with freshly cooked meals to enjoy and friendships to form. We offer carefully planned activities to help our residents stay active and engaged, but they can get involved in as many or as few as they like. With a wide range of activities, such as arts and crafts or days out, residents can try something new or continue to things that they’ve done all their lives.
Landscaped gardens surround Oaklands and residents can enjoy a walk in the grounds or simply watch the activity at the busy bird feeders, full of feathered friends.

What’s On Offer at Oaklands Court
We make sure that there’s plenty of things to do every day at Oaklands Court. Our carefully planned activities schedule ensures that there is a good mix of things happening every day. There will be some things that pop up daily or weekly so our residents can get together, like a quiz or bingo, but there will also be the chance to take day trips out to explore the local countryside and find out more about the world around them.
As well as a fabulous list of things to look forward to, our residents can drop in or out at any time. Oaklands Court has been purpose-built for our residents and, when being developed, there were plenty of spaces created for relaxing.
Balanced Menus food
Meal times are very important at Oaklands Court and our residents look forward to see what’s on offer. It’s no surprise that it’s one of the best parts of the day. Our chef and their team are highly skilled at creating nutritious meals that are well balanced and give our residents everything that they need- and want. Healthy meals are also happy meals, with all tastes catered to.
Our meals are tasty because they’ve been prepared with skill and love but also because we use the best of produce. It’s important to us that we use locally-sourced ingredients where we can and that our menus reflect the season. While food is nutritionally balanced, there’s also time for a treat. Our chef and their team certainly don’t disappoint when it comes to a little something sweet. Cakes are home-baked and go perfectly with a cup of tea, which you are welcome to join us for when you visit.
Tailored Care
At Oaklands, care is personalised to each and every resident. What that means in practice is that we spend time joining up the dots of their care, speaking with their medical professionals to meet their needs. It’s not just about the care package that we put in place, though. It’s about how we change what we offer to meet residents needs. For respite care and day care, we take the chance to get to know our short-stay residents. For longer term residents, we build meaningful relationships that allow us to connect with them and help them to express how they’re feeling.
We’ll know when our residents aren’t quite themselves and we’ll help them to work through any issues that may arise for them.
Comfort and Contentment
Life at Oaklands is comfortable, with private rooms for every resident and large airy communal spaces to join together in for a quiz or a singalong. Our facilities are underpinned by our quality of care, with our staff highly tuned into what our residents like, want and need.
With an engaging activities plan to keep residents happy and chatting, our community spaces are wonderful places to be – even if you don’t want to get involved what’s happening. Many of our residents enjoy the company of others, even if they’re in the midst of a good book. Our home has also been created to help our residents to see the best of the outdoors and can watch the seasons change from our picture windows.
