Efficient, extremely friendly, kind and caring team. My mother could not have had a better experience. Every member of the team, from senior management to the people working unseen in the background deserve a round of applause!
Thank you all.
Keeping Busy at Queensmead
It’s never too late to try something new – or to continue enjoying a life-long love. At Queensmead, our activities team work hard to strike a balance between the comforting and the unusual. While our residents can pop along to our in-home hairdresser or knit and natter, they can also look forward to a visit from a furry friend or even listening to some live music at our fabulous care home.
There’s something to look forward to every day and our team of experienced co-ordinators ensures that there’s a good balance for the body, mind and soul. Our activities allow our community to come together in a way that they feel comfortable with what they’re doing.
Meal times are a special time for the residents of Queensmead. For many of our residents, they are comforted to know that they will sit down to three nutritious home-cooked meals every day – and that the shopping, cooking and clearing up will be taken care of for them. They are secure in the knowledge that they’ll be eating a well-balanced meal that’s full of flavour and been made with care and attention by our chef and their team.
Our menus are planned around each resident’s individual dietary requirements, so they can rest assured that their needs are catered for. Our chefs used locally-sourced produce and will also use the best of seasonal produce on offer too. This means that residents enjoy a changing diet that they simply won’t get bored with.
One of the most important aspects of coming to live with us at Queensmead is that we develop every resident’s care plan around their unique needs and requirements. Our highly experienced care team will take time to get to know each resident and create a care plan that ensures that they can make the most out of their Queensmead experience.
We’ll be on hand to help them with anything that they need taken care of. As well as supporting residents with the practical side of life, our care team will help them with the emotional support they need. There will always be time to pause for a chat and to listen, even on the busiest of days, and to make sure that everything is how it should be – whether it’s locating a missing slipper or hearing about important memories.
