Our revalidation programme

At Chanctonbury Healthcare we understand how complicated and time-consuming revalidation can be for nurses. We want to support our hard-working, dedicated nurse team to complete their revalidation as easily as they can.

That’s why we set up the Chanctonbury revalidation programme, including dedicated CPD training for all nurses, revalidation tool folders given to every nurse and revalidation events to thank our nurses for all their hard work.

Some examples of CPD revalidation courses include:

  • Venepuncture
  • Syringe driver
  • Verification of expected death
  • Care of the deceased
  • Dysphagia
  • End of life – embedding excellence
  • Safeguarding enquiries
  • Medication management
  • Defensible record keeping
  • Sepsis
  • Wound care
  • Epilepsy
  • Strokes

And coming up we have the following courses:

  • A reflective practice workshop
  • Effective supervision and delegation
  • Catheter care

We will happily organise additional courses and take suggestions for future CPD courses for revalidation.

We launched our revalidation programme in November 2019, where our nurses attended a launch event with afternoon tea, a Bristol Stool Chart cake (which was as delicious as it was disconcerting!) and gifts! Sandy Atkins, our Operations Director thanked them for their dedication and support to Chanctonbury Healthcare and the nursing profession and hoped that the programme would support them in what can be a confusing process.
