The staff at The Queensmead are amazing. My auntie is being cared for really well. We didn’t think she would have settled so well but has now been there a year, and loves it – especially the food! Well done to everyone at The Queensmead – you’re the best!.

Summer Gardens

Our gardens are well-tended all year round, but they are full of bloom and blossom at this time of year and we make the most of it. We will gently encourage our residents to enjoy our outdoor space, with plenty of fun activities – such as garden bowls and barbecues – planned. Whether you want to get involved in one of our gardening group’s planting projects or simply while away a sunny afternoon with a good book, our care team are on hand to help.

Tailored Care

Our summer plans emphasise our commitment and dedication to individually tailored care plans. In the summer, this is reflected in our carefully-developed activities programme. While we’ll always have lots of things to do at Queensmead, summer is a time for exploring and getting out and about. Our day trips and visits take us to fabulous local gardens and the seaside – there’s even the chance to have some fish and chips in the fresh sea air.

A Taste Of Summer

Our chef and their team certainly make the most of summer produce, with fresh and locally-sourced ingredients used across all of our menus, from a bowl of local strawberries to fresh salad leaves from nearby.

Fabulous Facilities

Queensmead Care home is purpose built, which means everything is exactly how our residents need it to be. Rooms are en suite and comfortable, offering a haven of peace and quiet when you need it, but with quick and easy access to our bright and fun communal areas.  As well as our lounge, residents look forward to meal times in our spacious and relaxing dining room, where home-cooked meals are served with love – and you can be sure that there’s always something on the menu that you’ll like.

Some things will never change at Queensmead, however. Our care and support team continuously look after each and every one of our residents with the highest standards of care. They will always go the extra mile and take time to really connect with your loved one, over a cup of tea or simply sitting and chatting together. Regardless of the season, committed care is our number one priority.
